Arrival in Stony Rapids
Surprisingly, the 1041 km drive to Stony Rapids didn’t feel as daunting as I thought it would.
It was beautiful the whole way north, and I’m already excited to see it all again on foot.
My dad, Sandy, and my brother Matthew made the trip with me. I was passenger princess for the entire drive.
We spent one night camping in La Ronge, another at Geikie River, and then finally arrived at the end of the road — the place where this run begins.
But in a lot of ways, the first steps of this journey were taken long before today.
I’m running the length of Saskatchewan in memory of my mom, Louise, and to raise money for leukemia research and support.
